BCBC is a modern bike and cycling business dedicated to providing reliable professional repair services, and community-focused cycling activities. We help riders enjoy safe, comfortable, and well-maintained cycling experiences in Saskatoon.

Our Vision

Everyone must have access to a bicycle

BCBC envisions everyone having access to a bicycle. We will foster a sustainable cycling culture where everyone will feel connected to their bicycle by integrating cycling into their daily lives, while attaining the knowledge and opportunity to sustain its use. We hope to help build a strong, healthy, inclusive, and environmentally sound community.

Our Story

Our Journey in the Cycling World

The Beginning

Registered officially as a non-profit co-op. We started as a loose group of volunteers with a bike stand at the Farmer's Market. We decided to become a co-op because we believed in community.

2012

2014

Starting renting shop space

Started renting shop space at the CNYC, through this agreement, the CNYC youth have access to our workshop and bicycles. The CNYC had a similar program already, and BCBC agreed to continue running a community bike shop in that space.

2016

Partnership with the City

Partnership with the City to start a landfill diversion project. We received funding from the Better Good for a Seacan onsite and we started separating bikes from the landfill to refurbish. This eventually developed into the city's Material Recovery Centre.
